Aquamarine is a stunning gemstone available in a range of hues and is the green-blue to blue variety of the mineral beryl.

Linked to the throat chakra, Aquamarine is believed to elevate communication and self-expression, making it an ideal gem for creative professionals such as writers, artists, and public speakers.
The name Aquamarine originates from the Italian word for seawater, bringing attention to its sea-toned hues. This gorgeous stone is the birthstone for March and is commonly associated with the star sign Pisces. It’s also the gemstone for the 19th wedding anniversary.
At Zoë & Morgan, we source our Aquamarine from Pakistan, mined at high elevations in Pakistan’s Karakoram Mountains. One of our favourite stones, the Aquamarine has a MOHS scale level of 7.5-8, making it a durable stone, perfect for jewellery.
In ancient times, Aquamarine was given to people travelling by ship to offer protection as it was thought to calm the waves and safeguard against the forces of darkness.
